Cobirders: yesterday afternoon around 1:30 on the west side of
Foothills parkway just south of Iris I was driving and caught a
glimpse of a nighthawk flying by. I clearly saw the white inthe wings
an the shape, but safety concerns kept me from looking too much and it
was not safe to pull over. This seemed early for caprimulgids; I
usually see them coming in at the end of May. -Elena klaver
