This morning there was a Tricolored Heron at the Holcim Marsh in eastern
Fremont Co. It was out in the tall cattails in the middle of the marsh.
Not easy to find or get a good look at. I got the best views of it looking
down on the marsh from the high point in the parking lot, using a scope.

It appears to be an adult, however, there is some red on the neck. It may
be in transition from a juv. to adult.

The marsh is about a mile west of the Holcim cement plant on SR 120, near
Penrose.
