Started the day with Ted Floyd's Carolina Wren singing loudly about 7 a.m. along the Centennial Trail 200 feet south of the south end of Old Tale Road. Today at my house, the Indigo x Lazuli Bunting returned for another day with about five Lazuli Buntings. A lone Pinyon Jay was here for several helpings of sunflower seeds and posed for nice photos. The nearest pinyon/juniper habitat is probably a couple of hundred miles away. That was my fourth jay species in the yard in the past five days. A Say's Phoebe was at Boulder Reservoir today, and one of the three nesting pairs of Ospreys there has three little chicks now. I've seen six Osprey nests in Boulder this year, and I think there are at least two or three more. It was just a few years ago that the first nest occurred.
