To All People on My Email Address List
You may have recently received a mysterious “invitation” from the Live
Health Club, ostensibly from me. Please disregard this so-called invitation. I
assume this is some kind of social networking club related to health matters,
but I really know nothing about it. Here is the explanation as best as I can
figure it out. I received an email (to my regular email account at Yahoo) from
a friend in Uganda who is evidently a member of this Live Health Club. The
email contained an invitation to be his friend. I had, and continue to have, no
interest in this site. I responded to the email to that effect. But somehow I
found myself unwittingly and unintentionally enrolled in this club. The next
day (Tuesday, June 1), I started getting emails from various people accepting my
“invitation” to be my “friend.” Evidently the club automatically sent out
invitations to my entire address list. I assure that if this happened, it
happened without my knowledge or approval; all I was doing was just responding
to a regular email through the regular Yahoo email service. I have since
attempted (I am not sure how successfully) to drop this unintended “membership.”
If you received this email, please completely disregard it, and accept my
apologies for this unintentional email.
