An Elegant Tern was seen and photographed at Morgan Lake, west of Farmington,
New Mexico today. This is only about 40 miles by car from the State Line on
Hwy 491, south of Cortez. As the Crow Flies, this lake is probably only about
20-25 miles away from Colorado. Since there are no accepted records for
Colorado, it would be a good idea to be looking for the species at the bodies
of water in Southwestern Colorado.
