Hi all, I took a short walk along the Poudre River Trail north of Prospect Rd in Fort Collins this morning. It was necessarily short, as the trail was flooded in several places by the high river stage. Nevertheless, a singing Red-eyed Vireo was easy to spot near one of the flooded areas near the parking area at the Riverbend office complex. He was very low in the branches and gave great looks. I didn't find anything else of note, as I was mostly distracted by the amazing water levels that I've not seen before on this river.
The water is so high that the footbridge where Confluence Pond is completely submerged. Thus, Confluence Pond is now being fed directly by the river, whereas it is usually the other way around. -- Eric DeFonso Fort Collins, CO -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
