I finally edited the video I took last week of the Long-billed Curlew family in northern Otero County. There are 6 video clips including nice footage of the younger chick and very good footage of the adult female foraging (when she approached to within 60-70 feet of where I was videotaping the family) . The various clips show the curlews engaging in activities of daily life, not only foraging but grooming, stretching, flying and showing vigilance. The adult male and female vocalize their distinctive 'curlee' calls in some of the video. The video 'screens' are the larger size that are found on youtube which provides more detail. I am in the process of uploading the video clips to my BirdsAndNature <http://BirdsAndNature.blogspot.com> blog with all but two up there now (the others should be loaded by Wednesday morning).
