I have loaded some recent images from Mt Evans of a Ptarmigan. It was
located at the last switchback just before Summit Lake as you are coming
down. Park in the pull-off just at the bend and climb over the boulders to
the old road and walk down it looking carefully for them on the left. I got
the impression from a photographer friend who pointed out the one that I
photographed that there were a number of them in there. I only saw one so I
can't vouch for how many. The following link will lead you directly to the
Ptarmigan page and avoid paging through all the images of baby Mountain
Goats. Thanks for visiting my site. Your comments and feedback are welcome.
