Hello CObirders,

On Wednesday we opened the Ridgway banding station, Thursday was our
first official day with scheduled school groups, and today we did a
public banding demonstration day. We've had a good turnout of both
birds and people. In the last two days our numbers have been
dominated by Audubon's Yellow-rumped Warblers, with Wilson's Warblers
as a close second. Here are the totals for the past four days,
including today:

Red-naped Sapsucker 2
Dusky Flycatcher 1
Western Wood Pewee 2
Cassin's Vireo 1
Mountain Chickadee 1
House Wren 6
Orange Crowned Warbler 2
Yellow Warbler 7
Audubon's Yellow-rumped Warbler 22
MacGillivray's Warbler 3
Common Yellowthroat 2
Wilson's Warbler 21
Western Tanager 1
Lazuli Bunting 1
Brewer's Sparrow 1
Chipping Sparrow 8

24 birds on 9/8, 11 on 9/9, 24 on 9/10, and 28 on 9/11 (not including
recaps).

Happy birding,

Stephanie
