Hi Everyone--

Marcia Marvin and I made a quick visit to the NW corner of Boulder Reservoir
this afternoon 9/12. We had no sooner arrived at the little stream just
south of the end of the trail when the American Golden-Plover and five
Killdeer flew right past us, with the plover calling as it went by. The
flock landed a ways south of us, and we chose to get distant scope views
rather than muck up the stream and disturb the gulls. The plover was
lounging on shore when we left it around 3pm. A Great Egret was also on
shore, and two Red-necked Phalaropes were on the reservoir.

We found two young Woodhouse's Toads in the little stream--a nice surprise.
