Hi Cobirders

Stepping out the front door of the Casita I knew it would be a good day.
Immediately I heard Wilson's Warblers and sparrows chipping all over the place.
Our first net run would bear this out, 57 birds in the bag (one over-achieving
net had 22 birds)! We ended the day with 146 birds banded of 16 species. We
discovered the roost of one of the local Barn Owls inadvertently. The white
splatter that narrowly missed us indicated we should look up (with mouths
closed). Our most interesting catch was a Mountain Chickadee, not annual out
here on the ranch.

Front range folks might try moonwatching tonight, Steve Brown has been seeing
some light traffic for a few days now, usually after 9pm. Today's birds might
liftoff earlier though.

Least Flycatcher 1
