Hi all,

I just had time for about 1 and a half hours to bird today, so I went to
Chatfield Reservoir State Park. Pretty quiet, but I saw several Blue-gray
Gnatcatchers, 4 Audubon Warbler, 1, Rock wren, and an Osprey flying over the
southeast end of the lake[I presume they are starting to head south]. I could
not find any Sabine's Gulls or a Lesser Black-backed Gull. The latter two I
was hoping for, unrealistically. All of these birds were seen near the water at
the SE corner of the lake[I'm not sure, but I think this is Douglas county]

For the last 3 days in my yd., I have had : at least, 3 Chipping Sparrows
daily, with 1, Orange-crowned Warbler on 9/19, taking a bird bath. The last
several days I've had at least 1- 2, Wilsons Warbler in my bushes, and 1,
Blue-gray Gnatcher. Very early for my yard has been 1, BROWN CREEPER showing
up 9/17. The bird has been here ever since. I have as of today 5, Broad-tailed
Hummingbirds, with one acting more like a very aggressive Rufous. Rufous were
the more common hummer last week. The usual are here, Red-breasted
Nuthatches[which nested in my yd., for 2010], still 1-2 House wrens,[3,
different pairs nested in my yard for 2010], Black-capped Chickadees, [they
nested in my yd for 2010] Lesser & American Goldfinch, Spotted Towhees[which
nested here for 2010], etc.

Happy Birding!
