Hello everyone,

There were 3 (1 ad, 2 1st winter) COMMON TERNS and 2 BLACK TERNS on the north
shore this morning. Gull numbers continue to grow.

I have always wondered what attracts all the good birds to Baseline Res. I
figured there must be some tasty food source. With the water receding so much,
I have discovered the attractant. Cans, bottles and other assorted refuse.
Should have known.

I also had my first SLATE-COLORED DARK-EYED JUNCO in Longmont this morning,
which seems a tad early.

Cheers,

Christian Nunes
