Two more slow days at the GVAS station. Yesterday we banded two new
birds, and today we had four. A significant proportion of our
captures have been recaptures. A fun one for today was an Orange-
crowned Warbler which when we captured on 9/25 weighed 9.3 grams and
today weighed 10.4 grams.

Yesterday: 9/27

Wilson's Warbler 1
Spotted Towhee 1

In addition, we recaptured a Blue-gray Gnatcatcher from a few days
ago, and a Spotted Towhee and Song Sparrow which were not from this
season.

Today: 9/28

Black-capped Chickadee 2
Wilson's Warbler 2

Plus one recaptured Orange-crowned and one recaptured Wilson's
Warbler. As a special bonus, we rustled up two Gambel's Quail to show
the kids before releasing (unbanded).
