East of 56th St, about a mile down from Rabbit Mtn Open Space. First saw 3 or 4, then about 10 (constantly moving), then a flock of 30+ birds became airborne and briefly congregated. Some then landed on nearby fenceposts. Very pretty display!
At around 1 pm, I saw what must have been the same Sandhill Crane flock reported by R Carol heading south, also near Rabbit Mtn.
