The lone juvenile sandhill crane just flew in & landed at its usual
feeding spot just west of the entry road to Teller Lakes South. This
road is about halfway between 75th & 95th and heads north from
Arapahoe Road in East Boulder County. Since last Thursday I have
usually seen it come in shortly after sunrise & continue to feed for
several hours. I also see it off & on during the day, especially late
afternoon. It always comes in from the east & when it takes off, it
heads east. I wonder where it roosts at night. Has anyone seen it?
I'm so glad it escaped the eagle!
