This morning Peter Gent called me to let me know that the Red Phalarope seen by
Ted Floyd, Bill Schmoker and Christian Nunes yesterday at Baseline Reservoir in
Boulder County was still present.

Peter, Maggie Boswell, John Vanderpoel and I watched the bird this morning at
about 9:30 in the SW corner of the reservoir. The bird stayed on the far side
of a long and large sandbar that angles across the SW corner. It was either in
the water along the right shore or on the shore itself near the greatest
congregation of gulls.

We also found a Surf Scoter (probably an adult female by the large white patch
on the neck and the dark bill), a couple of Common Loons and the first Common
Goldeneyes that any of us had seen this fall.
