Hi All,

We stopped by Baseline Reservoir today at 1430 to try for the previously
reported Red Phalarope. We were unable to locate it, but we did find
a probable basic-plumaged PACIFIC LOON in the far northeast corner of the
reservoir. It was diving frequently and was so far away that we were unable
to get a definitive ID, but that's pretty much the only thing it matched.
We also tried digiscoping it, but it wasn't cooperative enough to get a
shot. Also had a good raft of Western Grebes (counted 51), along with a few
Horned Grebes, Buffleheads, Common Goldeneyes, etc. We also had a fly-over
immature Bald Eagle to round off the trip.

Good Birding!
