In addition to the female Williamson's Sapsucker I posted about last week
that I found at The Abbey, I found a male Red-naped Sapsucker there
yesterday. He was also feeding in the Scots pines near the gymnasium
building, the same location where I found the first wintering sapsucker in
Canon City in 2003. Then today I found a female Williamson's Sapsucker at
Centennial Park, another location where sapsuckers have wintered. I haven't
been able to check the other locations that sapsuckers usually winter as I
have had to be out of town a lot lately but will do soon soon. I have
posted photos of each of the sapsuckers I have found in Canon City over the
past week onto my BirdsAndNature <http://BirdsAndNature.blogspot.com> .
