Took the afternoon off to go birding after working in the garden(s)
Union Res - usual stuff: coots, W/C/pie-billed grebes,
Ish - few coots
MacIntosh - horned and eared grebes hanging out together, then a Bonaparte's
gull drifted by. Couple of lingering pelicans.
Clover Basin - totally empty!
Lagerman - here's where the 2 Pacific Loons moved to, with my first Common
Mergansers of the fall.
Boulder Res - lot of human activity and only distant birds.
Walden - full of ducks: lot of Widgeon, ring-necked, red-heads. 2 lingering
yellowlegs on the far shore(the only shorebirds of the day), one juv song
sparrow.
