Saturday on Lake Dillon on Dillon side 3 Horned Grebes, scooting around, diving, etc. The male had the tuft sticking-up on top the head; 2 females.
They were often in and amongst the Geese; some of the Geese banded. DOW had banded 3 maybe 4 yrs ago. They are resident Geese and I'm glad to have them. Some of them have met their maker; however. Then, I've had White-breasted Nuthatches in my yard; none today, but they've been here along with Steller's Jays and Mt Chickadees.
