Arapahoe County: 
--A Lesser Black-backed Gull was reported by Stecher at Cherry Creek far out 
from the marina towards the dam on November 8.
--A juv BLACK-LEGGED KITTIWAKE was reported by Walbek on the south side of 
Cherry Creek Reservoir on November 10 and was not seen on November 11.
--An ad Mew Gull was reported by Walbek at Cherry Creek on November 11 and was 
seen again on November 13 by Kilpatrick near the Swim Beach.
--A Red-necked Grebe was reported by Kilpatrick in the middle of Cherry Creek 
reservoir on November 13.
--A Pacific Loon was reported by Newport at Cherry Creek reservoir on November 
14.
  
Boulder County: 
--2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls (1st winter, ad) were reported by Nunes at 
Baseline Reservoir on November 9.
--A Winter Wren was heard by Severs on the Boulder Creek Path west of 75th St 
on November 10.
--An ad Lesser Black-backed Gull was reported by Floyd at Prince Lake # 2 on 
November 11 and seen again on November 12 by Lamoureux.
--An imm Harris's Sparrow was reported by Nunes at the base of ripple rocks at 
Eldorado Mountain Open Space on November 12.  From the trailhead on CR 67 hike 
up the road until it forks.  Veer left (south) and look for the flock of juncos.
--A Harris's Sparrow was reported by Harlan on the White Rocks trail in Boulder 
on November 14.  Take the trail past the lake and bridge to the bottom of the 
hill to a smaller bridge over a ditch.  The bird was a few yards south of the 
ditch and east of the trail.
 
Denver County:
--A Red-throated Loon was reported by Kibbe at Marston Reservoir on November 13.
  
Douglas/Jefferson Counties:
--2 Red-throated Loons (1 ad, 1 juv) were reported by Kellner at Chatfield on 
November 10.  They were between the handicapped fisherman's access and dam 
outlet tower.
Kellner reported that the loons were at the east end of the dam face on 
November 14.
 
Huerfano County: 
--The Neldners saw and photographed a female Eastern Towhee on Nov 6. It was 
still there on the 8th. It was joined by a NORTHERN PARULA on the 8th!. Birders 
are invited to check out this hotspot at 151 County Road 359 in La Veta.   The 
Nelders reported that EASTERN TOWHEE was seen again on November 9 and 10.  The 
Nelders report that the EASTERN TOWHEE was last seen at 6:30 am on November 10.
--A White-throated Sparrow was reported by Nelders on November 13 and again on 
November 14.  Their address is 151 County Road 359 in La Veta.
 
Jackson County:
--2 Surf Scoters and 3 TUNDRA SWANS were reported by Komar at Lake John on 
November 11.
--1 TRUMPTER SWAN was reported by Komar at MacFarlane Reservoir on November 11.
 
Jefferson County: 
-- A Golden-crowned Sparrow continued at the Red Rocks Trading Post through Nov 
7. A White-throated Sparrow was last seen there in late October and seen again 
Nov 7.   The GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW and White-throated Sparrow were seen by 
Henwood on November 11.
--A CURVE-BILLED THRASHER was found by Chavez on October 27 at the Red Rocks 
Trading Post and has been seen daily through Nov 9.  Henwood reported the
thrasher on November 11.
--About 1:15 on Nov 8 Bob Andrews, Michael Kiessig, and Mike Henwood found a 
"Stub-tailed" Wren, as a PACIFIC WREN, in the Wheat Ridge Greenbelt. "It was 
south of the foot bridge, near the downed logs along the little creek below the 
stairs coming down from the subdivision above. This is on the south side of 
Clear Creek and almost directly south of the parking lot in the Wheat Ridge 
Greenbelt off of 44th." (This area used to be known as the Tree Bridge Trail). 
Their ID was PACIFIC WREN "because of the dark color and rapid call notes." The 
call sounded "exactly like the Pacific Wren call on Stokes." (pers com)  This 
would be the first Jeffco record if accepted & one of a few Colorado records. 
If someone can get photos and/or tape recordings of the wren, it would be most 
helpful.   The wren was heard on November 9 but not seen by several birders.
 
Lake County:
--On November 6, Kalbach reported 3 TRUMPETER SWANS at the extreme western end 
of Twin Lakes and Kalbach reported on November 13 that the 3 swans were still 
there.
--Gray-crowned including a Hepburn's Rosy-Finch and 1 Black Rosy-Finch were 
reported by Kalbach on the east side of Leadville on November 13.
 
Larimer County: 
--A Swamp Sparrow was reported by DeFonso at Running Deer Natural Area east of 
Fort Collins on November 12.
 
Mesa County:
--A White-winged Scoter was reported by Tischbein at Cheney Reservoir on 
November 12.

Moffatt County: 
--Luke reports 4 Tundra Swans at the CMS Pond off 1st street in Craig on Nov 6 
and continuing on November 10. 
 
Ouray County:
--A Surf Scoter was reported by Dexter at Ridgway Reservoir on November 13.

Prowers County: 
--A f eastern Nashville Warbler, m Northern Cardinal and Red Fox Sparrow were 
reported by Leatherman at Lamar Community College woods on November 9.
--On November 10 at LCCW, Leatherman reported 1 m eastern Nashville Warbler, 
heard 1 White-throated Sparrow, (1f, 1m) Northern Cardinals, 1 m Red-bellied 
Woodpecker.
  
Rio Blanco County:
--Gray-crowned and Black Rosy-Finches were reported by Huffstater on November 
11 near Horse Ridge and Sleepy Cat Peak.  This is about 12.5 miles SSE of 
Hamliton. 
Routt County:
--A male EURASIAN WIGEON was reported by Litteral at Lake Catamount near the 
private boat launch on November 12.  The EURASIAN WIGEON was not seen on 
November 13.
--3 Tundra Swans and a pair of Barrow's Goldeneyes were reported by Dodson at 
Lake Catamount on November 13.  The swans were by the Yampa Inlet and the 
goldeneyes at the marina.

Weld County:
--A Red-necked Grebe was reported by Severs in the NW corner of Union Reservoir 
on November 13 around noon. 
--An ad Lesser Black-backed Gull was reported by Lefko at Windsor Lake on 
November 14.
 
The DFO field trip for Thursday, November 18 will be to the Boulder area led by 
Charles Thornton-Kolbe (720-320-1974).  This will be an all day trip.  Show up 
at one of the 2 starting locations in Denver (8:15 am) or Westminster (8:40am). 
  The Denver meeting place is the Colorado Boulevard RTD Station east of 
Colorado and Evans.
THe Westminster meeting place is the Westminster RTD Station at US 36 and 88th 
Ave.   Bring several layers of clothing.  Binoculars and scope (if you have 
one).
Bring sack lunch and beverage of your choice.
 
The DFO field trip for Saturday, November 20 will be to SW Metro Lakes led by 
Alison Kondler (303-904-9140).  Meet at 9:00 am at Belmar Historic Park -- 800 
South Wadsworth Blvd at W. Ohio Ave.  Will Carpool from there.  Birding until 
12:30.  Please call the leader if planning to join.
 
THe DFO field trip for Sunday, November 21 will be to Chatfield State Park led 
by Dick Schottler (303-278-8035).  Meet the leader a 7:30 at the swim beach 
Parking lot inside the west entrace of the park off of S. Wadsworth.  State 
Parks Pass required.
