I know, this is not as exciting as seeing the Ross's Gull again this morning at
CCSP (much closer this time, sitting on the sand-bar in the NW corner), but.....

A friend of mine from Tucson and I saw/photographed at least 2 American
Three-toed Woodpeckers in the usual location west of Sedalia along Hwy-67, just
east of Rampart Range Road. There was a beautiful male, showing off his yellow
top-hat, and another that we did not see as well; I actually think there was at
least 1 more bird in the area as well. I believe there are probably several
ATTWs in this area, so they should be relatively easy to find.....hopefully
during the CBC. Also, if this is in a defined breeding block, it should be
possible to confirm breeding in the area next spring, for the CBBA-2.

Good Birding,
