When I arrived at Stearns Lake today at 2PM, there were impressive
numbers of Canada and Cackling Geese present as well as three Snow
Geese: two dark and one white (juvenile).  Within an hour many of the
geese, including the Snows, had moved on.  A large flock was present
in a field a short distance from the lake along the Cradleboard trail
where at least one of the Snows had relocated.

As I was leaving I got great looks at a Ferruginous Hawk across from
the parking lot in the large cottonwood near the small pond
(Broomfield County)
