When I arrived at Stearns Lake today at 2PM, there were impressive numbers of Canada and Cackling Geese present as well as three Snow Geese: two dark and one white (juvenile). Within an hour many of the geese, including the Snows, had moved on. A large flock was present in a field a short distance from the lake along the Cradleboard trail where at least one of the Snows had relocated.
As I was leaving I got great looks at a Ferruginous Hawk across from the parking lot in the large cottonwood near the small pond (Broomfield County) James Lamoureux Superior, CO -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
