The pair of wintering bald eagles have returned to Stearn's Lake. A nice couple pointed them out this morning & said the eagles returned 2 days ago. Also saw a prairie falcon, red-tailed hawk, & tons of Canada geese & shovelers.

One of the things I was thankful for on Thanksgiving was the swan that flew low overhead late Wednesday afternoon as I walked down the drive to our home on Arapahoe Road in East Boulder. A little later I saw it on Teller Lake along with hundreds of Canada geese & one snow goose. By Thanksgiving morning the lake was frozen & the swan (too far away to tell whether it was a tundra or trumpeter) was gone. Maybe it was the tundra swan that Peter Gent spotted at Valmont Reservoir??
