Hello all,

I was out driving around this afternoon for an hour or so trying to
keep my daughter napping. And it worked beautifully. But I stopped
by Poudre #3 (off of CR 11 and north of CR66) outside of Wellington.
Thousands of Canada and Cackling Geese were present. Approximately 20
Snow Geese with at least on Ross's Goose were in the mix. I thought I
had a Greater-white fronted Goose but the huge flock took off after 2
adult Bald Eagles flew in. I actually watched one of the Eagles take
out one of the Canada's. This is one of the few reservoirs around
that still had approx. 50% open water. This would be a great place to
check out if any one has time this weekend. A Brant could make it a 6
Goose Lake for a day if there is one there and I was right about the
Greater-white fronted. A scope is preferable and morning is the best
time to view it if the sun is out.

Also, I will be out and about in the Denver and Greeley areas tomorrow
and would love to know if anyone is seeing any Swan spuhs around and
could post about it. I will gladly return the favor!

Take care,

Josh Bruening
