Cool! That's yet another location for Mandarin Duck in Boulder. And note that 
it's in the same general area of--I'm being very general here--"East Boulder." 
As Michael says, the bird is undoubtedly an escape. But Mandarin populations do 
have a way of becoming established. The species is native to northern and 
eastern Asia, but populations have become established in Britain, continental 
Europe, and even central California. Next up?--Boulder?? I mean, how many of us 
knew about Eurasian Collared-Doves, twenty years ago?... Let's keep an eye on 
these Mandarins. By all means, report them to COBirds and to eBird!
