I wanted to try to give information on some of the rarer birds found on the
Pueblo CBC on Dec 30th on public lands.

Greater White-fronted Goose - 1 found at the South Road Pond, just east of 29th
Lane on the South side of South Road, in Blende (Paul Hurtado and Deana Schmidt)

Snow and Ross's Geese - thousands at Huerfano Reservoir, east of 40th Lane,
between Fields and Bush Roads, south of Vineland.

Barrow's Goldeneye - 1 female along the Arkansas River, up stream from Runyon
Lake, east of the main street bridge (Van Truan).

Spotted Sandpiper - 1 along the Arkansas River, up stream from Runyon Lake,
east of the BAGO location (Van Truan).

Lesser Black-backed Gull - 1 adult at Runyon Lake (Van Truan) -- same bird that
I found
while scouting on Dec 27th.

White-winged Dove - I currently know of three, all in the Blende area.  (Leon
Bright's party and Van Truan reported them)

Barn and Long-eared Owls - 1 of each, heard while owling on 40th Lane, south of
Vineland (Van Truan and Brandon Percival)

Yellow-bellied Sapsucker - 1 juvenile at Roselawn Cemetery in Blende (Margie
Joy, Doug Kibbe, Sue Riffe's party, and seen later by others and photographed)
-- same bird Van Truan and I found while scouting on Dec 27th.

Say's Phoebe - 1 in the Blende area (Bill Kaempfer and Todd Deininger)

Rock Wren - 1 in the Blende area (Bill Kaempfer and Todd Deininger)

Common Grackle - 1 in the Roselawn Cemetery/Salt Creek area (Margie Joy, Doug
Kibbe, Sue Riffe)

There were several other goodies on private land, and I don't have the totals
for those areas yet.
