Despite the below zero temperatures the morning of the count we had 10
people show up for the Hotchkiss CBC.  Everyone's thermometer seemed
to have a different reading so who knows how cold it really was.  The
high temperature for our area was probably about 12 deg F!  I am
waiting on a count from one feeder but have tallied everything else
for the count.  The only first-for-the-count bird I just heard about
today - Fox Sparrow - from a feeder near Hotchkiss.  Otherwise,
species diversity was a little low and total # of birds was about
average (compared to data from the past 15 years).  Here is the
