COBirders,
Being retired has its benefits when the weather includes snow and temperatures around zero. While looking out my home office window I noticed a small flock of bushtits in the young pine tree in our front yard. With my nose almost on the window pane, one flew up to perch about 15 inches away giving me an unaided view I never expected to experience. They are even tinier than I had thought before. At the same time a pair of Brown Creepers worked our cottonwood tree. Yesterday one creeper gave our walnut tree in the back yard a good going over while 43 White-winged Doves and one Eurasian-collared Dove perched in the tree or fed at the hanging platform feeder. I was pleased with the ratio of 43 to one. Leon Bright Pueblo -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
