We saw the female Long Tailed Duck this morning at W Gravel Lakes, as did a large birding group which was also there. At about 11:00 this morning, the dipper was in the more active water between the I76 bridges and Lowell Ave. It was harrassed by a low flying Kingfisher, and disappeared from view for about 20 minutes. The dipper then reappeared, and was last seen working in the rocky part of the stream just below the dam/spillway which is just to the east of Lowell. Cheryl Teuton Aurora
