On Saturday I headed to Denver in search of whoopie pies and decided to stop at
Overland Park.  The Long-tailed Duck was in the river right next to the parkng
lot and I left my camera at home.  I tried for the American Dipper that was
reported south of the bridge, but no luck there.  I walked south for awhile and
came across a Ruby-crowned Kinglet about a mile south of Florida.

When I returned to the bridge at Florida the LTDU was still close to the
parking lot and I decided to dig out my digiscope gear fron the back of the
truck.  As soon as I set my scope on the trail the LTDU saw it and quickly
headed down stream.  After that she moved further down stream keeping out of
view.  When I first saw the duck I stood on the trail not twenty feet from her
and she didn't seem concerned.

Anyway, no whoopie pies.
