Adams County:
--A juv Thayer's Gull was reported by Sanders at Barr Lake on February 26.
--A Winter Wren was reported by Chavez at Barr Lake below the dam on
February 27.

Boulder County:
--Smart reported that the TUNDRA SWAN has returned to Valmont Power Plant on
February 23.
--On February 27, Stiles reported a TUNDRA SWAN at Cottonwood Marsh.  On
March 5, Stiles reported that the TUNDRA SWAN was again at Cottonwood Marsh.
--On February 28, Floyd reported that the Swamp Sparrow continues at
Greenlee Preserve in Lafayette.  On March 2, Boswell refound the Swamp
Sparrow at Greenlee Preserve around 5:30 pm.
--A Chichuahuan Raven was reported by Floyd east of Prince Lake #2 on March
3.

Cheyenne County:
--Lapland Longspurs were reported by Deininger north of Wild Horse on March
4.

Delta County:
--Luke reported 25 Barrow's Goldeneyes on the river at the north end of the
Confluence Park.  On February 21, Garrison reported 23 Barrow's Goldeneyes
at Confluence Park.  On February 23, Garrison reported 13 Barrow's
Goldeneyes at Confluence Park.  On February 27, Beason reported 16 Barrow's
Goldeneyes at Confluence Park.

Denver County:
--A female Long-tailed Duck was reported by Andrews on Smith Lake (north
lake) of Washington Park on February 26.  She was with Common Goldeneyes in
the NE part of the lake.  On March 5, Keithler reported that the Long-tailed
Duck was still on Smith Lake in Washington Park.

Douglas County:
--A Winter Wren was reported by Halverstadt along Plum Creek on Dupont Open
Space in Louviers on February 27.  It was last seen about 100 yards north of
south bridge (Airport Road).
--The pair of Barrow's Goldeneyes continue at Twenty Mile Pond on March 4 as
reported by Kingery.
Directions:  From the main intersection in Parker, go west toward Cherry
Creek on Parker Main Street; at Twenty-Mile Road just before Cherry Creek
turn left, and then right into the parking lot.

Fremont County:
--An imm male PINE WARBLER was reported by Drummond on the DFO field trip to
Canon City on February 17.  The warbler was at the west end of Canon City
Riverwalk about 150 yards east of Sells Ave along the Bluff Trail.  On
February 27, Rich Miller found PINE WARBLER  near the 1/2 mile marker on the
Bluff Trail.  It was in small trees about 100 yards north of the trail
marker.
--A Rufous-crowned Sparrow was reported by Moss on Tunnel Drive of Canon
City on February 26.
It was found near the end of the trail from Tunnel Drive.

Gunnison County:
--A Snow Bunting was reported by Barry up the Ohio Creek Valley on CR 6  on
February 27.  It has been around for about a week.  Directions:  From the
town of Gunnison take CO 136 NE to CR 730.
Turn left onto CR 730 and go 10+ miles to CR 6.

Jefferson County:.
--On February 27, Henwood reported Curve-billed Thrasher, White-throated
Sparrow, GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW, and Harris's Sparrow at Red Rocks Trading
Post.
--On February 27, at Bear Creek Lake Park Henwood reported that the DFO
field trip saw an adult Harris's Sparrow with a flock of American Tree
Sparrows east of the Boat Launch Parking Lot.
--On March 5, Sanders reported a male Barrow's Goldeneye in the Wheatridge
Greenbelt.  It was on the second pond east of Youngfield Parking Lot on the
south side of Clear Creek.

Larimer County:
--Lapland Longspurs and Snow Buntings were reported by Wild in the NE corner
of the Timnath Walmart Parking Lot at I-25 and Harmony on February 25.
--2 Winter Wrens were reported by Wild at the Environmental Learning Center
in Fort Collins on March 4.

Logan County:
--100+ Lapland Longspurs were reported by Kellner on the backroads of Logan
County on February 27.

Mesa County:
--A TRUMPETER SWAN was reported by Korte on a pond on CO 330 between MM 1
and MM 2
past the Collbran/Vega Lake turnoff on February 27.  Korte also reported
Barrow's Goldeneyes nearby in Plateau Creek.

Otero County:
--On Higbee Valley Road, Floyd reported YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER and
Harris's Sparrow on February 27 and north of Higbee Valley Road in the
Commanche National Grassland Floyd reported a Chihuahuan Raven.

Prowers County:
--Northern Cardinals (2m, 1f) were reported by Leatherman at Lamar Community
College Woods on February 23.  On February 26, Floyd reported 4 Northern
Cardinals.
--Red-bellied Woodpeckers were reported by Leatherman at Willow Valley
Subdivision on February 22 and at Riverside Cemetery on February 23.

Summit County:
--8 Barrow's Goldeneyes were reported by Koehn at the Silverthorne Water
Treatment Plant on March 3.

Washington County:
--At Prewitt Reservoir on February 27, Kellner reported 1 ad MEW GULL, 2 ad
Lesser Black-backed Gulls, and 6 Thayer's Gull (5 1-st cyc, 1 ad).

Weld County:
--3 Lapland Longspurs were reported by Lefko at WCR 31 and WCR 100 on
February 26.
--On February 23 at the new Frederick High School, Deininger reported a
Chihuahuan Raven chasing a Common Raven.

The DFO field trip for Sunday, March 6 will be Rosy Finches and More led by
Mike Henwood (303-716-8551 or [email protected]).  Meet at C-470 and Morrison
exit at dirt parking lot east of Conoco Station.  Will head to Red Rocks and
to Conifer for a number of mountain feeders.  Please PRE-REGISTER.  This
trip is limited to 12 people.  Half day trip.
