Today (3/8) while driving into town I saw a bunch of gulls on a pond in Ready Mix Cement Company pond on Namaqua Road I saw a very white gull. When I stopped and looked at it I noticed it was a first winter Glaucous Gull, after looking closely at the other gulls I also found an adult Glaucous Gull. The only other non Ring-billed Gull there was a third winter Herring Gull. This is the same location where Nick Komar and I saw an Iceland Gull in December. Last night at 11:30 when I was pulling into my driveway a Northern Pygmy-Owl flew in front of me and landed in a small pine tree in my yard. I even heard it give a strange call, but the tone still sounded like a Pygmy-Owl. Cole Wild Loveland
