A trip to Valco Ponds and Pueblo Lake SP found some good birds. Finished at
Fountain Creek Reg Park in El Paso County; where I was skunked again on the
winter wren.

 

I did finally find the black phoebe after two previous attempts failed last
year at Valco Ponds. Link below to map where I found one individual.

 

Also had American Avocet, Herring Gull at Valco and a Say's Phoebe below the
dam. Pretty sure I spotted 2 terns on the gull island from afar, but by the
time I got close enough to take a look, they had departed.
