Hello, Birders. Bruce Webb and I may not be in full agreement about this bird's parentage, but I 100% concur on the following:
> Birders should NOT to believe Ted Floyd or Bruce Webb. > Instead, get out there before this interesting duck leaves > and make your own assessment. By the way, Cara Stiles just sent me three good--good, but not great--photos of the bird. The three photos are from three different angles, and that's great. Cara, if you can upload those images somewhere (try the ABA's photo gallery, if nowhere else!), I bet we can get some duck experts to weigh in on this one. If nothing else, we should be able to sniff out Steve Mlodinow; he's defenseless against such temptations, and he lives in Colorado now. Thanks to Bruce, Cara, and others for their contributions to this edifying discussion about a fascinating bird. ------------------------------- Ted Floyd Editor, Birding Blog: http://tinyurl.com/4n6qswt Twitter: http://tinyurl.com/2ejzlzv Facebook: http://tinyurl.com/2wkvwxs ------------------------------- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
