Cobirders,

On April 1st, I saw an adult Great Black-backed Gull at Adobe Creek Reservoir. I saw it from Tern Island in the middle of the lake (where I was working). It is as likely in the Kiowa or Bent County parts of the reservoir. I first saw it a few weeks ago, so it seems to be sticking around.

On March 31st, I counted 13 Snowy Plovers at Neenoshe Reservoir in Kiowa County. My first Snowy Plover of the year was at John Martin Reservoir on March 25. Probably the best SE Colorado location for shorebirds currently is Neenoshe Reservoir.
