Pawnee NG (west) - Many McCown's Longspurs along Rte 96 one-half mile
west of Rte 77. A pair of Mtn Plovers 2 miles in, on the south side of
the road in the prairie dog town. Two light adult Ferruginous Hawks
from the Mtn Plover spot as well.

N Weld Cty Landfill - similar story as Steve, with most birds roosting
on/near Drake Lake. Heat haze made scanning gulls in field nearly
impossible from road though. Had a 1c LBBG over/around the dump
itself, a few dozen Franklin's. Otherwise RB & Cali Gulls with three
1c and one 2c HEGU. One Clark's Grebe on Drake Lake.

Poudre Canyon - Dipper along the river under one of the bridges,
singing away. Also 4 Red Crossbills. They were vocalizing and I tried
to get voice recordings with my iPhone but the strong wind was just
too much to handle it seems. My off-the-cuff guess was Type 2 or
something similar but who really knows. Anyone have insight into the
dominant vocal types being seen in the area?

Moose Visitor Center - two Pine Grosbeaks and not much else

Hayden, 80 Rte - noisy flock of 30 Pinyon Jays flew in, landed on the
western hillside, and continued northward after a brief stop.
