Correction to my post this morning:
The first record of breeding for Black-chinned Sparrow in Colorado
was at an undisclosed site on private property in LA PLATA County last year.
That was discovered during Atlasing II work. What will you discover on your
Atlas
blocks?

By the way here is a handy link for those who want to enjoy the song
of the male Black-chinned Sparrow. If you can't go to see this fine bird,
now you can at least listen
to its sweet "bouncing ball" song. If you are tempted to go, but not sure
yet, listening
may persuade you to undertake the short jaunt.

Copy and paste that link, then open the Whatbird site and click on the arrow
under "listen to songs and calls."
