There was a Lapland Longspur is basic plumage at the State Wildlife Area on the
North West Side of Pueblo Reservoir this morning.  It was coming to water to
drink, with a bunch of American Pipits, and a Savannah Sparrow.  I took some
photos of longspur, that I hope are good enough.  It seems very late for this
species to be so far south.  The shorebird spot here is shrinking fast, as the
Reservoir is letting out water.  This spot today did have a Semipalmated
Plover, a Semipalmated Sandpiper, three Least Sandpipers, a couple of Greater
Yellowlegs, a Wilson's Snipe, and a bunch of Killdeer.
