Gene Rutherford and I decided to go to Yellowjacket Canyon this afternoon. It
was hot on the walk out, so I don't recommend going there in the heat of the
day. We had a reason to try for the Lucy's Warblers today. Gene was hoping
for a two state bird day! Black-chinned Sparrow in the morning and Lucy's
Warbler in the afternoon.

We walked the 1.5 mile walk to the canyon and found a male and two female
Lucy's Warblers. Also, we saw a Black-throated Gray, a Virginia's, a Myrtle,
and Audubon's Warblers. Also, a Gray Flycatcher.

Directions to location on CFO County Website.
