Hello, Birders. There seems to be a grounding of Broad-winged Hawks in Boulder County as of this afternoon, Saturday, April 23rd. I saw one flying low over the intersection of 28th & Pearl at lunchtime; an hour later, I saw one a tree in Warbler Woods (i.e., where Boulder Creek flows near the University of Colorado football stadium); and, then, an instant later, I saw another, up near the stadium. If you have a few spare moments this afternoon, you might want to look for Broad-wings. By the way, Kei and Hannah and Andrew and I saw a Peregrine Falcon this morning along Arapahoe Road near Valmont Reservoir, Boulder County. -------------------------------
