Hi All,

I had a couple of hours to wander this afternoon so I walked Boulder Creek from
55th to Skunk Creek. I did not find any of the yellow-throateds but there was a
stunning male Hooded Warbler along the edge of the large wood lot between
Foothills and 55th. We used to call this the Ball Brothers Woods. I don't know
what it goes by these days but it is fenced off and not accessible now. The
bird was back into the woods and not very cooperative. It was seen from the
fence on the North side of Boulder Creek. To echo Peter's comments on the
rarities of late in Boulder County. I have seen Black-throated Sparrow once in
1975, Palm Warbler twice both 1975, Yellow-throated Warbler once 1983,
Yellow-throated Vireo once 1970, Gray Flycatcher once 2008. Also 0 Hudsonian
Godwits .
