On Saturday 4-23-11, we traveled down to Walsenburg to visit my wife's parents. They live approx. 6 miles west of Walsenburg on Highway 160, in the Navajo Ranch subdivision. They have five feeders spread out around the house. A very busy day at the feeders!
Bluebird, Western Bushtit Dove, Eurasian collared Dove, Mourning Finch, Cassin's Finch, House Goldfinch Grackle, Common Grosbeak, Evening - first sightings for my daughter and wife! Heron, Great blue - fly over on it's way to Lathrop State park. Junco, Dark eyed Magpie Nuthatch, White breasted Sisken, Pine Sparrow, Chipping Sparrow, House Sparrow, White crowned Titmouse, Juniper Vulture, Turkey Didn't get a chance to go to Lathrop, but if we did, we probably would have seen all the birds shown in Polly Neldner's cobird entry on 4-23-11.
