After getting home and downloading the pics, the western sandpiper legs no longer looked as black as I had remembered and there was no indication of webbing between the toes on a couple pics that happen to capture the feet in fair detail. I asked a few folks to review and the answer seems to be least sandpiper instead. Those legs sure looked black at 7am this morning. Good thing I took pictures. It is still a first for me at Manitou Lake.

Still sort of that way this morning at 7am. New bird for me for Manitou Lake was Western Sandpiper. Got good pics. The lesser yellowlegs was still there. But no solitary sandpiper. Spotted Sandpipers seem a bit late; haven't seen my first yet at the lake. 3 FOS are: Canvasback, Eurasian Collared-Dove, and Savannah Sparrow. 39 species in all. White-faced Ibis (~4) continue in the marsh and around the lake. Holding out hopes for a first breeding record. Seems to be the same group there for a while now. Unusual. Up to 142 species for the lake lifetime (~23 years) and 62 so far this year. I really haven't birded the surrounding woodlands or stream yet as they are more productive starting in mid-May.
