Today I briefly birded Stearns late morning. It was pretty quiet, but I saw
the following:

singing vesper sparrow
Swainson's hawk
snowy egret in flight
great blue heron in flight
Western Grebes

On the little pond, there were 5 avocets and 3 dowitchers. I'm going to call
them long-billed.
