Hi all, With the rain and snow came the finches, I have an estimated 500-700 Brown-capped Rosy Finches visiting my feeders. I was hoping to find a Black, but they appear to have migrated out of the area.
Also of interest, last evening myself and Gary Matherws went out to search for Flammualted Owls and Poorwills in RMNP. We came up empty. However, this morning I received a Common Poorwill that a fella in Estes Park that found it in his garage. The bird is fine, and I plan to release him if and when the snow ever stops and spring arrives.
