Hi all,
Apologies for the tardy posting.. Monday, early evening in the continuing rain I visited Spring Park resr for a few minutes just prior to dark.. highlights . Red-necked Phalarope 17 - in a variety of plumages . Common Loon 1 alternate . California Gull 1 adult Also present a few lingering waterfowl: Several Western and Eared Grebes, Bufflehead, Northern Shoveler, Redhead.. The Canada Geese have returned in droves.. Meanwhile from my desk I watched "the" Cooper's Hawk take another Evening Grosbeak (that's 2 in 2 weeks) I wish that it would return to its previous diet of Eurasian Collared Doves (it took 2 in a week ! ) We still have several Collared Doves here... We still have singing Lincoln's Sparrow's in the yard, + Audubon's + Orange-crowned Warblers, Warbling Vireo, Western Tanagers and Bullock's Orioles. However the Indigo Bunting and Blue Grosbeak have left it seems. Good birding all Dick Filby Carbondale -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group. To post to this group, send email to [email protected].
