Subject: Hudsonian Godwit - Kiowa Co - Arctic Term - Bent Co

Birders,
Tammy and I are doing volunteer work this weekend with the Colorado DOW working
with Duane Nelson in SE Colorado on the Least Tern & Piping Plover project.
While checking Nee Grande reservoir for Piping Plover we discovered an
alternate plumage Hudsonian Godwit.
Also present was:
Red necked Phalarope
Wilson's Phalarope
White-rumped Sandpiper
Least Sandpiper
Snowy Plover

In Bent Co on the way back to john martin reservoir, we had a number of
Dickcissels in alfalfa fields.
We were checking on piping plovers on the north side of john martin reservoir
when an arctic tern flew by headed towards the dam.
Also present were:
Piping Plover
Least Term
Forster's Tern
