Birders, Tammy and I are doing volunteer work this weekend with the Colorado DOW working with Duane Nelson in SE Colorado on the Least Tern & Piping Plover project. While checking Nee Grande reservoir for Piping Plover we discovered an alternate plumage Hudsonian Godwit. Also present was: Red necked Phalarope Wilson's Phalarope White-rumped Sandpiper Least Sandpiper Snowy Plover In Bent Co on the way back to john martin reservoir, we had a number of Dickcissels in alfalfa fields. We were checking on piping plovers on the north side of john martin reservoir when an arctic tern flew by headed towards the dam.
