I found the first singing male Bobolink in the Canon City area yesterday.
Also the first Sora Rail of the season.  Today when I got to the Sell's Lake
parking lot for the Canon City Riverwalk I heard a Red-eyed Vireo singing.
The rest of the Riverwalk was disappointing, a sentiment shared by Rich
Miller who I ran into there.  Other than the Red-eyed Vireo and a few common
species singing, it was quite quiet.  Even the Gray Catbirds,  and
Yellow-breasted Chats (whatever family of bird they are) were subdued (I
think the catbirds are on nests).

I only saw one Swainson's Thrush in the mile of trail I walked.  I did get
photos of the Bobolink and even the Red-eyed Vireo--they are posted on
my BirdsAndNature
